Ingredients
  

  • 1 ½ cups flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 ½ tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • cup milk
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 ½ tsp vanilla extract
  • cup oil

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease the pan.
  • Mix the dry ingredients, then whisk the wet ingredients.
  • Combine gently. Do not overmix!
  • Bake for 30–35 minutes, then cool for 15 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes

Employ room temperature ingredients for a seamless batter consistency. Frost, however, you like.
