Equipment

  • Small saucepan or kettle
  • Knife & cutting board
  • Fine mesh strainer
  • Mug
  • Spoon

Ingredients

  • 2 cups water
  • Tbsp fresh ginger
  • ½ lemon, sliced
  • 1 tsp honey optional, but c'mon, it makes it hug-worthy

Optional extras

  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 3 fresh mint leaves
  • Pinch of turmeric
  • ½ tsp apple cider vinegar

Instructions

  • Slice up that ginger and lemon thin—takes two seconds, promise.
  • Dump 2 cups water in a saucepan, crank the heat to boil, toss in ginger slices, then simmer low for 10 minutes. Your kitchen's gonna smell like heaven already!
  • Kill the heat, chuck in lemon slices, and let it chill (steep) for 5 minutes. Keeps the vitamins popping without turning bitter—smart hack, right?
  • Strain into your fave mug. Boom, instant hug in a cup.
  • Stir in honey while it's still warm—not boiling, or it'll go wonky. Sip away!
  • Wanna level up? Mint, cinnamon, turmeric, or ACV splash for that extra "whoa" kick. Your tea, your rules.

Notes

This isn't a miracle cure, just a gentle, tasty drink for hydration. Want it stronger? Simmer the ginger for 15 minutes instead of 10!
