  • 6 cups sliced apples (a mix of Granny Smith and Honeycrisp is ideal)
  • 2 tbsp maple syrup
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice 
  • 1 tsp cornstarch or arrowroot powder
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • ¼ tsp nutmeg

For the topping:

  • ¾ cup oats
  • ½ cup almond flour
  • ¼ cup oconut sugar or brown sugar
  • ¼ cup chopped nuts (optional)
  • ¼ cup melted coconut oil
  • A pinch of salt

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a bowl, mix apples with maple syrup, lemon juice, cornstarch, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Pour evenly into your baking dish.

  • Cook for 35–40 minutes until the topping is golden brown and the apples are bubbling.

Notes

Combining tart and sweet apples elevates the flavor. Omit nuts for allergies. In the fridge, leftovers can be kept for up to 4 days.
