Equipment

  • Long dessert dish or shallow bowl
  • ice cream scoop
  • knife
  • Spoon
  • Small bowls for toppings

Ingredients

  • 1 ripe banana
  • 1 scoop each vanilla, chocolate, and strawberry ice cream
  • 2 tbsp chocolate syrup
  • 2 tbsp strawberry sauce or compote
  • 2 tbsp pineapple topping (optional)
  • ¼ cup whipped cream
  • 1 tbsp crushed peanuts or almonds
  • 3 cherries (one for each scoop)

Instructions

  • Slice the banana Lengthwise, and place both halves on either side of your dish.
  • Add the ice cream — Nestle your three scoops right in the middle.
  • Drizzle sauces — Chocolate over vanilla, strawberry over chocolate, and pineapple over strawberry (fancy, right?).
  • Top with whipped cream — A big swirl on each scoop.
  • Add nuts — For that satisfying crunch.
  • Crown with cherries — One on each whipped cream peak.
  • Serve and snap a pic — Because it’s too pretty not to post.

Notes

  • Pick ripe but firm bananas — too soft and they’ll turn mushy.
  • Swap in fun flavors like mint chip, cookie dough, or salted caramel.
  • Want a lighter option? Use frozen yogurt and top with fresh fruit.
  • Hosting a party? Set up a banana split bar and let everyone DIY their own masterpiece.
